Star League

Star League is a Battle Arena-based eSports Team Management Simulation.

 

What that basically means is that you have your classsic MOBA style game where you play your 5v5 matches on classic DOTA/LOL-style map and on top of that you have a sort of starship hotel where you have all the players as your guests and you need to take care of them as a whole team. Your individual heroes can grow, they can train their AI skills (represented by tactics commonly used in MOBA games) they can have relationships, they can have fans which can influence their performce etc.

All and all there are many of great ideas in this game. I've worked on it fulltime as mostly only programmer for almost 2.5 years (April 2013 - August 2015) and during that time we've been able to put together something that resembles LOL clone. I've worked with 2D and 3D artist and CEO/Game Designer/Project Manager and occasional programmer. You can see a short video of sample match against AI here.

I've implemented most of the systems in game - stats, damage, effects, modifiers, items, shots, weapons, skills, also UI, shaders, Units AI, all the game logic.

I've also developed special Unity editor tool for designing AI implementing Hierarchical Finite State Machines with Decision Trees. You can see sample of how one of layers of hero control - Laning looked like.

In August 2015 I left to project to go work on game Mandate.
