Mandate
Mandate is a space opera game that has been funded on Kickstarter back in 2013. I joined the programmers team in August 2015 and I've worked on various gameplay systems like Mission Journal and Tracker, Refitting (purchasing, equipping and upgrading of ship modules), Trading and some other minor functionalities. We've been working in Unity and Boo (boooo - no really, since Unity dropped support, working in this language is close to nightmare).
This project got me working with guys more experienced than me, so it was great learning experience in that sense. It also showed how even experienced developers can misjudge project deadlines and how hard that can be especially in context of games and larger project and several departments cooperatiing together.
Due to longlasting neverending negotiations about remaining funding with publisher, the developers team size has been reduced in January 2017 quite drastically and I was in that cutoff part unfortunatelly.
